    Thats interesting because my Range Officer doesn't lock back with the stock mags, but does with the Wilson's!

    I don't know what the stock SA spring is but I tried the flat wire ones from Wilson's and can't say it really did anything. Your mileage my vary of course just saying my experience. Have not really experimented with the recoil spring in the 9mm yet. So this topic is interesting.

    Give it a try. Once you go that route, you’ll never put on a std round wire spring again on your 1911s. The flat wire recoil springs smooth the recoil impulse IMHO and last more than 10000 rounds between spring changes, unlike the traditional recoil springs.
