What AR do you gravitate to?

The one I like to shoot the most is my AAC 9” 300BLK SBR. Shooting subs suppressed is a blast.

When the world isn't about to end, I prefer my lighter weight ARs, or a SCAR 16, but I built a bomb proof AR for the end of the world so that's my focus right now.

My version of the FrankenAR is built on the Mega MML, which is a complete billet upper/Mlok rail all in 7075. The rail attaches to the upper receiver rather than the barrel nut which makes it incredibly stiff. The machining is awesome.

    Noveske Gen 2 billet lower.

The build has a Noveske 16" CHF mid-length barrel with thicker machine gun chrome lining, pinned GB, Nitrided gas tube.

    A complete LMT Enhanced BCG.

    Vltor A5, and Sprinco spring.

    Geissele SSA trigger

Raptor CH - I've test the Geissele CH, old Bravo Ambi, the Bravo standard latch. I've not tried the newer Bravo 4X4. The only one I absolutely didn't like is the Geissele because it binds up in some receivers, especially Vltor receivers.

Radian Saftey - The new BadAss Pro is pretty good, but it could loosen up without some kind of loctite so I'm on the fence right now about that.

    B5 SOPMOD stock

I've got a T1 and MRO for it, but I like the wider field of view of the MRO.

SureFire Dual Fuel Scout Light Pro

Troy Irons, I just like the Troy HK style irons better.

Magpul MOE+ with spare bolt in the grip.

And my trusty 2 point VTAC sling.

The rifle is built for extreme reliability, and very good accuracy.

When I get moved to a free state, I'm going to build a 12.5", using a Noveske Leonides. And a can.

    My current favorite is:

Colt 14.5” M4A1 SOCOM upper with LMT enhanced carrier and standard bolt, Geissele Mk16 fore end,
Colt post-sample fullauto lower with Magpul miad pistol grip, LMT carbine receiver extension, h3 buffer, Magpul SL stock
Kahles k16i in Geissele 2.04” mount
Aimpoint TL in Arisaka Defense offset optic mount
    DeadAir Sandman K

Super smooth shooting, accurate, and handy.

    So, a 458 SOCOM, or 50 Beowulf?

Or are you thinking, large frame AR?

Almost always my 11.5 KAC. But sometimes I have to grab the Mk18.

I have a nice selection of AR style rifles in 5.56 and 7.62 NATO, and a 300 Blackout. They are fine rifles, reliable and reasonably accurate. Both DI and piston driven. Some factory builds, some home builds. Some 16" barrels, some 18" and a few registered SBR's. For the DI guns, I love the Colt Defense 6940 series monolithic factory guns the most. My piston guns are all LWCI, International. If I had to pick one above all the rest, a LWRC SPR piston with a 14.7" barrel and pinned flash hider. That particular gun shoots sub MOA with quality ammo, is absolutely reliable, fast to bring to bear, and can be carried across state line without begging permission from the Feds.
