Niihau Incident. Look it up then decide if FDR was wrong when viewed through the lens of 1941-42.
So, 3 traitorous Japanese Americans justifies the internment of hundreds of thousands of Japanese-American citizens and their children, the negation of their constitutional rights and the theft of their property? I guess "fear" wasn't to be feared, it was those 10 year old Jap girls we had to fear. Were German-Americans treated this badly?
The Germans didn't bomb Pearl Harbor, (I'd love to insert the Jim Belushi bit from "Animal House" here, but Im too lazy, so you'll have to visualize).
The Japanese did attack us. I'm no FDR fanboy, but he was operating in a context of the nation just being attacked. What other surprises awaited? Hindsight is always easy. Also, he was getting reports from Naval Intelligence that "agents" were waiting to stage an uprising - much as there is a lot of conspiracy jabbering about moles and cells ready to stage an uprising now. What does he do? Be wrong, and have chaos here. Those decisions aren't easy: I certainly wouldn't like to have to make them.
Funny, that Naval Intelligence was involved with a lot of "issues". Oh, like the delays in getting the translations of the Japanese letter leading up to the attack. Or, why did the information from the White House, when it finally got sent, get sidetracked and sent regular instead of FLASH? Why was Adm. Kimmel unreachable, or a message slow to Gen. Short? A collection of "mistakes" or a hand at work?

Hurrah for The Bonnie Blue Flag that bears a single star
So what, they were Americans with inalienable rights, you know, rights given by God, not by FDR/Augustus Caesar. They didn't attack anyone. But hay, you never know when those slanty eyed bastards might stab you in back, best to treat their lives as chattel. Germany declared war on us and killed hundreds of thousands of our men.
You'll (not personal, but rhetorical) find out about "inalienable rights" soon enough. That concept went out in 1865, now it's just political bullshit to hypnotize the suckers. The standard cop doctrine is, "I'll find something to arrest you for." That will expand. The hildebeest wanted to do that us "deplorables", send political dissidents to "fun camps." Think she's the only one who thinks that way?

The Communist Manifesto was published in 1848 with Marx, Engels, and others doing their thing for years prior. The revolutions in Europe occurred in 1848 with a heavy influence from Marxists, Communists, or whatever you like to call them.
The revolutions failed with many of the revolutionaries being imprisoned. Carl Schurz, Franz Sigel, and Fritz Anneke were a few of the big names that managed to escape Europe and click with the early Republican party with plenty of their lesser known comrades gravitating to the party as well.
Pretty good read on the subject.
