    STI 2011 Gen 2 mags

I haven’t really been paying attention to STI‘s lately. How are these mags different than the originals? Are they that much better? How are the 45 ACP mags?
The Second Amendment ACKNOWLEDGES our right to own and bear arms that are in common use that can be used for lawful purposes. The arms can be restricted ONLY if subject to historical analogue from the founding era or is dangerous (unsafe) AND unusual.

    It's that simple.

More consistent geometry is what they claim. They are considerably more reliable.

My only experience is with 9mm, though.

They are much better than Gen 1s, not requiring hand-tuning out-of-the-box.

If you want some Gen 1s, PM me and I'll make you a deal on five Gen 1s for .45.

I'll just say that they still seem to be the weak point of the 2011, but they are considerably more reliable (and consistent) based on what I've read about the Gen 1 mags. Supposedly they're on, or heading towards, Gen 3 or at least 2.5.

I have 15 of the Gen 2-20 rd mags.

Used in both a (2019) Staccato p and DVC P.
Zero magazine issues in 14K rds. and I do switch them up in rotation.
A true "Gun Guy" (or gal) should have familiarity and a modicum of proficiency with most all firearms platforms.

Have you noticed a little mark in the follower from the magazine release lever? I noticed this after shooting the mags that came with my gun...I have a C2

    No, but haven't looked.
If I'd had problems with mags I'm sure I would have- looked.

I assume the "mark" is from shelf of Slide Stop contacting plastic follower?
Is it somehow causing a problem?

Yes, minor mark but no issues with any malfunction...the gun ran right out of the bag, no issues with the mags at all.

I am saving up for another one..or selling a few HKs or Sigs....decisions, decisions..
