Does anyone on here have a Mayflower APC S/M size plate carrier? I'm considering 9.5x12.5 plates and was wondering if anyone has experience fitting those into this carrier. I've read that they fit via a single post, but haven't seen anyone else confirm.

I can’t remember what size I have, I will check when I get home from work and post. I have Hesco 4401s in mine.

Thank you, I appreciate it. Do you think the extra half-inch tall plates would fit in there? Wondering how much extra vertical room you have in the plate pockets.

In regards to plates, my bad if this has already been asked - any recommendations for a pair of plates 9.5x12.5 max size at 6lbs max weight per plate, $1,000 budget? Would need to be rifle threat rated, not sure which level that is exactly - thinking 5.56 + .308

    Hesco M210.

Multi-curve, stand alone, thin (0.6"), and a pair will set you back like $650ish. SAPI Cut Medium weigh in at 5lb each.

If you're on ARFCOM they're are a ton of deals with guys trying to unload plates. Not sure if they meet all your prereqs but there's alot to house from there. Reddit too.

If you're seeking something brand new I'd look at those Hescos mentioned and these.
    "Duritium® GT2 - Green Tip Body Armor Insert – ShotStop Ballistics" https://www.shotstop.net/products/duritium-gt2

Before anyone jumps all over ShotStop and Duritium Plates I highly advise you to reach out to Jason Henkel there to dispel any myths you may have read. Green Tip ammo is overly prevalent these days and those GT2s cover that, plus. I run these in my TRex AC1 and Paraclete Special Threats in my full duty rig. Well covered.
