I hammered the White Wings in sept - oct..

Deer season is here but it still needs to cool off down here before getting serious.

    Quail crop looks outstanding.

The ranch I hunt is MLD (managed land) & we get our tags from the state & an extended season...we get to hunt from Oct 1st to Feb 28.

    Send cool air...it's hot.

ya, we got plenty of cool air here. Had 28 degrees most of the week . Going to be warm today. Heading out to small game hunt. I only got after the grouse but the group i go with goes after greys and rabbits.

I harvested a buck on our property back on October 10th with a bow, beautiful through and through lung shot. My daughters were involved and helped during the field dress. Netted about 65lbs of meat.

We hunted ducks and hares. The "catch" was not very big, but there was enough hare for dinner for the whole family. The ducks were thrown into a smoking cabinet. Smoked duck is the most delicious in my opinion.

Smoked a decent antelope buck with my bow back in September. Got out archery hunting for elk but we didn't see or hear a dang thing. Been trying to get in a tree stand for whitetail with my bow but haven't made that happen yet. Hopefully this weekend.

As a side note, the antelope is damn tasty. Cooked the heart the night I shot it - cleaned it up and pan fried with some butter and seasoned with salt and pepper finished med rare. Have had some steaks and burger since and even the wife likes it.
