    Arsenal SAM5 5.56x45 AK

I picked up this Arsenal SAM5 today. It was made in Bulgaria and converted to sec922(r) compliance by the monkeys at Arsenal in Nevada. It has a milled receiver and is chambered for 5.56x45.

New manufacture? I've heard rumors that recent Arsenal milled builds have been sloppy? Any truth to that on yours?

Yes, it's new. The code on the receiver is 60. That means 2020 production. Cosmetically it actually appears on par with my Arsenal SLR-95MB. For those who don't know, that's basically the same rifle that was imported in 7.62x39 around 1995 that has a muzzle brake. I'm hoping that it's smooth and not horribly overgassed like most Arsenal rifles.

I have a Belgium build that I think was from 70's or 80's chambered in 5.45X39 and it runs like a top.

    Muzzle BRAKE, not break.

AGP-A-20S. Make sure you get the one for the small bore. That's what the S at the end means. Optics Planet had the lowest price that I could find. They're definitely not cheap though.
