i have a problem with magpul's pmags...i don't have enough of 'em!i think TD and magpul both make great products - it's a win/win for us consumers to have different options and choices, and these two companies keep 'em coming.
regarding the TD ARC mag, the lip and seal is there just to keep out sand and debris. maybe less of a concern with mags in a pouch, but more for the first mag being carried in the rifle. the follower is vented to allow dirt to be washed out when turned upside down.
anyways, i'll keep this thread on topic by contributing a pic of some pro-production samples. as jeff mentioned in the thread on TOS, the molds have not been finalized and the body will have a non-glare blasted finish. the TD mag is pretty solid-feeling; no orlite or thermold feel with it.

I just know I've seen and used these mags,
And they are head and shoulders above the aluminum drek I was using before.
They really are the evolution of the AR mag.

This is great news for all, especially us consumers and end-users.
Increase the supply of magazines! I wonder if there'll be a TD ARC shortage
after they're released....I've got USGI & PMAGS, but mostly converted 10 rounders because I live in a communist state. I'm anxious to try out the TD mags during out-of-state usage.

this seems like a fair question to me so i'll post it---- i had a case rupture last week, with a new c-products ss 20-rd mag in and the floorplate blew off to unknown places,,,what will happen when that much gas goes down into a mag-well, and no floorplate to blow off and provide some relief??????
Just a guess from a non expert/non industry guy, but I'm guessing the next part to blow off would be the magazine flying out from the magwell.
A friend pointed this new mag to me a few weeks earlier. I have a couple of Pmags, but when these come out, I'm going to try to grab one to try.

Guys please, lets stick to mags in this thread.![]()
One of two things would happen, depending on the actual pressure. One, the entire mag would blow out, as the mag would split at the catch pocket. Or, the mag body would split somewhere in the upper half, dissipating the pressure. The material we use doesn't 'frag', it stays intact and would split under extreme pressure spikes.
