Dave,
we are still debating it internally. If we have enough of those left over at any point, we may sell them commercially.

I understand the lions share of interest is for 5.56 magazines, but with so much competition in the market they might've discussed initially targeting another niche like 308 or 6.8.
I understand thaty if Tango Down didn't think they could bring a better product to the table for 5.56, they would not have invested their time and money in it. However, I'm not the only one who sees a gaping hole for a manufacturer to fit a completely reliable polymer AR magazine in something besides 5.56., when their top competition has already vocalized no plans for that ATT.
Sidewall thickness discourse notwithstanding.
ETA: ARC 308 or 6.8 magazines are something I would be more excited about.

cant wait till these are out, I love Pmags but would def love to have some of these
I am sure if the military wants a mag like that they will push for it.
The KAC SR-25 mag is GTG and while I am sure a Magpul or TD mag for it would be good, the drive is not there as much as it is for a 5.56mm mag.
I know a lot of people swear by the USGI mags, but most of those people have not been doing OTB, parachuting, airmobile etc ops with them.

Fair enough.
Tango Down mentions that intial design is reserved for USSOCOM.
Are any USSOCOM units involved in the testing of these magazines? USSOCOM members?
Or were they just designed for them?
First off, can't wait to try these out even though I am new to the AR platform in a more serious way than I was before. In my limited time here I have heard a lot of positive feedback about your products.
I have not shot the AR platform much, but coming from a person who has lived in various environments the ridge in some cases would be highly desirable option to have for the AR. As an example I think back years ago when I was out predator hunting and really wished I had something that functioned like that ridge on my AR mag at the time.
I do realize that hunters are not your target consumer but giving you an example of why that ridge would be desirable with those who are not in the military.

Noctis,
I'm at Crane right now. ARC is in a few parallel test programs here. I was in conference with PM after a funny call came in from a company 4 years late to the dance.
All, we have a line of ARC magazines, both 5.56 and 7.62 for a few weapon systems.
Stay tuned-
