Stuck selector detent pin
Friend has a Wilson Combat AR15. He decided he didn’t like the pistol grip, replaced with new grip, now the safety selector won’t turn.
Removed the grip, spring came out, BUT the selector detent pin will not fall out. Safety selector still will not turn.
Any words of wisdom?
UPDATE: Holding the AR vertical he banged it a few times on the ground, detent came out. The selector still won’t turn
UPDATE #2: When he jarred out the detent pin, he used soft head hammer and punch forcing out the trigger and safety selector pins. For whatever reason, everything was coated with what looked like resin.
He has no idea on how that occurred.

Is the hammer cocked? The selector won’t go to safe if the hammer is down.

My only idea(based on maybe something falling in during the grip swap), has he tried taking out the safety and trigger, then reassembling?
Considering it is Wilson Combat, is it a straight semi auto copy of a GI type safety and trigger or is it something not so much so?
Check DoubleW's theory first!
