Just had to brag... picked this up today: An early 1994 S&W Model 442, just a bit over $400.
I only buy no-lock S&Ws and I've wanted one of these for quite some time.
ETA: Had to complete the thread with a pic of the new grips

Nice! Those are great little revolvers.

Beautiful. Of all the J Frames, the Centennial is my favorite.
Nice pick up.
A true "Gun Guy" (or gal) should have familiarity and a modicum of proficiency with most all firearms platforms.
Nice score! That's one thing I do not have, a no-lock 442. I need to fix that.
Ive never seen those type of grips on a J-frame. Looks like you can get more grip on that thing. Might have to grab a set for my 442.

No dude is going to get shot in the chest at 300 yards and look down and say "What is that, a 3 MOA group?"
I hadn't seen these.
Looks like they applied lessons learned from the Ruger LCR Tamer grip. The LCR version doesn't look quite as big probably because the LCR grip frame is very short front to back.
I wish the really lightweight J's were available in a 6-shot .32 Magnum with an improved trigger. (I have an LCR 6-shot .327 mag and really like it, prefer .32 mag though)
Nice deal on the gun.
Gorgeous
