    Savior Equipment. They're on Amazon.

Don't know if links are OK here.

Bought it more because I thought it was cool, but I am hoping it reduces curiosity... maybe it will do the reverse if I have to answer a lot of guitar questions from passerby.

It may come down to making some choices, even in two separate luggage pieces all this stuff is going to weigh a ton.

The downside is that I'm the department training coordinator. If I cheat, even a little, others will see it as an opportunity to slide.

Frontsight's "Practical Rifle". Several Frontsight courses are certified by NV POST and I'm evaluating whether we want to count them for our department... in Colorado each department decides what they will and won't accept for training. I took the 4 day handgun a while back and liked it, so I'm taking this one and then probably a couple of the "advanced" courses to see what I see.

The biggest difference will likely be a class A uniform. Guys that wear shirt garters be it the ones that attach to your socks or the stubby belts, may have their feelings hurt when its time to go belly to the cement. The way this shit effects your flexibility isn't to be underestimated.

I'll go with ST911 here and say its a little over blown; the fight as you train shit.

A slight paradigm shift here is that "train as you fight" isn't about stuff you can wear or carry but mindset.

The latter would be my assumption.

Also, observation that the artistically inclined aren't exactly beyond committing petty/not so petty crimes themselves and I don't figure every piece of musical gear(with large numbers of guitars) end up in pawn shops and used music related stores by the choice of the original owner(with the caveat that I don't know how serial numbers on musical gear is handled by pawn shops compared to firearms.)

Line level benefits most from reps on gear as deployed. A coordinator, coordinates and manages the program. Having your brain on line to suck down the materials and methods, interface with trainers, identify issues, how to integrate the good into curriculum at home is your priority. Exercise the discretion you're afforded as coordinator.

Or, if you really want to shoot with your cop bling, rock on.

May be helpful... Per a multi-grad of Front Sight, that class is pretty basic. If you have other carbine training you'll be well prepared and can focus on differences that FS brings to the table.

There's also a long and known history of musicians sticking firearms in with their instruments trying to get "special extra security" on those checked bags. Not sure as to the prudence of it now, but maybe back in the '70s or '80s there mighta been some there there.

The handgun one was, but there's nothing wrong with reviewing fundamentals. I'm more interested in the classes you can take after the basic classes, but I have to do the basics first.

I won't take the radio, or probably the taser, and won't be in uniform but duty belt and rifle vest would seem to make sense.

I'm not sure what your end weight will be, but it seems likely to be multiples of the weight of a guitar. The way you carry it might be a bit of a tip-off to observers.

It has a handle and wheels, so hopefully it won't be too bad.

...but the options are: a rifle care that looks exactly like a rifle case, or a rifle case that looks a bit like a guitar case.
