    That's odd about the 50 cal ammo, it surely was corrosive. The government is well practiced at storing ammunition and explosives for long periods.

    There was a soldier that bragged about "shooting out" a Barrett .50 barrel. From what I recall he was actually shooting corrosive WWII ammo and wasn't properly cleaning the bore.
