That was my initial thought... but... I would not be surprised if these so-called "socially disadvantaged farmers" are targeted for government price support subsidies paying them to do nothing.

Free farm, endless credit, no foreclosures and paid to do nothing.

Also renders farmland nonproductive, creating further dependence on whatever Soylent rations gov deigns to dole out... "Oh, you refuse to goosestep to Reichsfuhrerin Harris's decrees? Well, sorry but we only have enough food for the USEFUL eaters. Sucks that you're gonna have to watch your kids starve."

If they federal government wants to give those lands as reparations, I don't have a problem with it.

If they start knocking on people's doors and telling them their house is being seized for reparations, then there's going to problems...

Ya know, this is one of those times when being a History major just flat SUCKS... you can see the trainwreck coming, you roughly know the sequence of events that will lead to it, but because the average mouthbreather is too stucking FOOPID to spell their own damn name right there's not a bloody thing you can do to stop it, and it's going too fast to round up your loved ones and jump off.

Yup, we had some in the Navy as well - 3 hots and a cot, just to what you are told to do and you will be 100% taken care of in terms of physical needs (food, medicine, health care), you just have to be willing to do your work and die for your country if called upon.

I served with some guys like this. And some of them were the best sailors you ever could ask for.
