    Latest Covid Stimulus Bill BS....

So, I'm reading this on Yahoo about a bill proposed by McConnell which is much more limited in scope than the Democrats proposals...this line stood out to me-

"Unless Congress reaches a stimulus deal in the lame-duck session, the PUA and the PEUC programs — among other relief — will expire, leaving up to 12 million Americans without jobless benefits."

    Who gives a shit? Seriously.

In a nation of 330 MILLION PEOPLE that's less than 4% of the population. Yes, I understand, if YOU are unemployed it's a big deal etc....but MANY THINGS are a big deal to individuals. As a part of society at large I can't get excited about these numbers as being a big deal. Where am I wrong?

It's a really 'big deal' when it's your government forbidding you to go to work and support your family.

That's a good point. If these are people who are specifically being prohibited from going to work then they certainly need relief. If they are unemployed due to their employment going away- not because of a government induced shut down- say they worked at Brooks Brothers, who has gone out of business, I'm not that supportive...

Although, I will say this- at some point if you are a server at Buds Cocktail Lounge & Bagel Bites, and you've been out of work for the last 9 months- You need to realize that Buds isn't opening anytime soon and find other employment.

The government caused this mess... they broke it so they bought it.

McConnell and Pelosi both own this stimulus BS....

They won't be without jobless benefits. The EXTRA Fed $$$ goes away. You know, the same $$$ that kept people sitting on their asses once things reopened [the first time] because hey, "I'm making decent money to sit on my ass at the house, why not?"

I'll agree to a large degree this is a government-caused situation, but where does it end?

Sooo... we don't need "replacement" paychecks.

    We NEED "replacement" elected officials.

You guys don't get it, the destruction of small businesses and middle-class jobs isn't a 'bug,' it's a FEATURE for the Great [s]Enslavement[/s]Reset.

4% of the population but 10% of the workforce!

And things are going back in the wrong direction. This week there were over 700,000 new unemployment claims, but only 500,000 fewer continuing unemployment claims-and I'm pretty sure that's basically how it's been since October.

And they're talking about lockdowns again...

I'm not saying government cheese is the answer, but the problems with the economy are definitely very real, which is more than can be said of the virus, the existence of which would be unknown to everyone if the government weren't here to tell us how existentially threatening it is.

And those economic problems are DELIBERATE consequences of those who intended Bat Screw Flu as a vehicle to open doors for things that in saner times would get them the Athens, GA treatment.
