    TAP gap?

Anyone notice that the TAP ammo is just crimped and not sealed, you can see pellets from the end, go to walmart and buy some 00 buck and it is crimped and then the end of the crimp is sealed by what looks like some type of soldering iron. Just curious why hunting ammo seams to be totally sealed from any contamination and self defense/HD ammo is ready to be compromised by oil/water????

I always assumed hunting shells (specifically waterfowling) were sealed because of their proximity to water. Everything I use for upland game and defense is either crimped or crimped and melted as you describe. I never saw a need for those to be sealed.
When preparing to engage in a battle of wits, it's best to ensure you're using quality ammunition.
