Is my FN SCAR 17s front sight broken or is this normal?

    Hello,

I just purchased a FN SCAR 17s and I'm wondering if the front sight is supposed to wiggle like that and not completely firm? I've linked my video below showing this. This is a brand new unshot gun, and the front sight being like that is off putting.

    Looks about normal to me.

It doesn't look solid to me, but if it goes to the exact same spot every time you shoot it then there's really no problem. My favorite unmagnified optic, the Mepro M21, can be pressed on causing it to move relative to the rail it's on. It doesn't matter though. It's in the exact same spot every time whatever gun it's on is fired.

That does not look normal to me. The whole sight base is rocking within the dovetail. None that I have seen had play in the dovetail.

Saw a thread on this on the FN forum. Apparently this is normal.
