Yes this helps a lot, one of the ideas I had was to use that exact same Arisaka picatinny light mount but on the bottom 0600 rail. I'd then just use a momentary/clicky tail cap to avoid having to use a remote switch, but it looks like it'd get too tight near the magwell area for any hand placement.

Yes. It will be tight. You may possibly get some extra space using a Glock lower as the magwell angles away from the receiver.

Yeah I think what I'm going to go for is mount a 300 series light with the offset picatinny mount on the top rail, exactly like in the picture you posted. And then have the modlite remote placed on the top rail like dontshakepandas has.
