    I bought the Kenetrecks, winters in SD can be long and you need only buy once, cry once.

    Got Salomon X Ultra Winter Waterproof a couple years ago, been absolutely perfect in Western Washington snow camp and winter mountain hiking. High ratings on REI, Salomon.com and hundreds of ratings on the Big River site.

    and an extra liner. swap liners every day so one can be drying while you're wearing the other
