How bad did I just mess up? RCO-A4 on 16"

    Hello all,

I just may have made a big mistake... Got an excellent (I mean almost irresistible) deal on a RCO-A4 in a LaRue mount.

Was so blinded by the price that I didn't think things through until I looked at it and realized it was an A4 model. I saw the ACOG (in M4) that I wanted and just bought without thinking.

Now the question is how badly did I mess up? I only have carbines (16" and 14.5")...

Anyone know when the BCM 20" uppers are coming out ?

Is it a TA31RCO, or a TA31RCO-M4? Ive never heard of one called an A4

Either way you will be OK, but your BDC lines may be a little off if its the RCO and not the RCO-M4, just zero it as normal and you'll still be on at that distance

I guess they did rename it some.

I think you'll be OK, but the lines w/ be just a bit off IIRC

Somehwere there is a chart on how to zero 'wrong' ACOGs on certain rifles and theres only an inch or 2 difference out to 3 hundred yards

Your all right. There is/isn't all that much difference. Zombies are pretty tall so you should be alright out to 4-600. After that if the wind is blowing it's kinda a religious zen thing.

Take it out and shoot it at long range. That's the only way to know where it hits with the load you are shooting.

Don't despair!!! My TA01 (red crosshair) would have been designed for a 20" correct? Carry handle mount me thinks.
Well on my 16" flat top I've hit like the dickens with it at 300 and consistently on a 8.5x11" paper at 600 (Lake City m193). That's more than I can use.
