    55fmj Hornady and cfe223

    Does anyone have published max for 55fmj Hornady and cfe223 in 556? (I have it for 223 rem, but....) Thanks

    I dont have my info in front of me.
    But I know 5.56 60gr and 62gr is 27.7 in hornady manual.

    Hornady does not list 5.56 data for 55gr, except GMX. I think my Speer manual predates CFE. Have you googled around? Hornady publishes supplementary data that can be had for free.

    Yeah, I have data for Hornady 62 556 from their website, but they don't list 55. UNODIR, I'll just use Hodgdon 223 data. Being a puss, I don't like pushing hot loads over listed max. A Palma SE buddy laughs at me about it, but this ain't for a fat barreled bolt gun. Oh, well....

    And for .223 62 gr its 27.4 CFE 223
