    Leupold delta point micro

    https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/...red-dot-sight/

Looking at getting one of these to try out since I am on Leupolds military program it looks interesting. I have been wanting to try a red dot on a handgun but have spent a lot of time becoming proficient with irons well fiber optic. How good this will work I have no idea but I like the concept plus I can use my same holsters.

Hard pass. Being different doesn't equal being useful.

Same here, I guess we'll see, but I can't imagine its going to be practical.

The mass overhanging the slide looks like a potential blowjob.

The Meprolight FT-Bullseye does the same thing without battery and the massive overhang.

I'll pass. Their big pitch is that it mounts in the rear sight dovetail, is a closed emitter, and can be used as a ghost ring if it dies. I've seen one in person and equate it to looking through a large milkshake straw with a 3MOA dot inside, the field of view leaves quite a bit to be desired. I'll hold on to my RMRs and R1Ps for now. I'm not a big Holosun fan, but I think they are going in the right direction with the 509 for a closed emitter pistol optic.

As I mentioned in a different group, the paid voices are pushing this hard right now.

Close, but the Meprolight is still dual-plane like irons whereas the Leupold is a true red dot focused at infinity.

Thought the point of having a viewing lense was so you could see your target and dot. Looks like you will be hunting for the dot in that little viewing area
