Clear and present danger was a doctrine previously adopted by the Supreme Court of the United States to determine under what circumstances limits can be placed on First Amendment freedoms of speech, press, or assembly. The test was replaced in 1969 with Brandenburg v. Ohio's "imminent lawless action" test.

So Pelosi's use of that phrase yesterday is in violation of the law but no one pointed that out to her.

The spin continues full speed ahead...

"Watching Capitol Riot Footage is Traumatizing Your System"

    https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/watc...213211523.html

First came the live images of the angry mob that stormed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, of people shoving barricades, overwhelming police and smashing windows. And then, in the days that followed, came more and more footage — increasingly violent — of angry, armed insurrectionists bearing symbols of white supremacy, brutalizing police officers and calling for the killing of various officials.

Now, more than a week later, the video snippets come at such a relentless clip that they seem to be on a constant loop — not only on TV and social media feeds, but in people’s minds, triggering anxiety, insomnia and all sorts of traumatic stress....
(From quoted Tweet) It’s such an enormous privilege to not feel the sting of others’ hate in your bones. To be able to watch the news and turn it off and get back to your day. Or maybe not even watch the news (as I know is the case with some) and remain unbothered.......
Marginalized folx, people of color and of certain faiths, watched with horror (and keep watching as images and video get released) as mass white rage and violence feverishly and viciously overwhelmed our Capitol, our TVs, and our hearts.

    This was TRAUMA.
And it goes on, but you get the idea...,

You know, I felt a lot more ‘traumatized’ this summer when I could see them fires, see explosions, and watch video of people attacked in stores and restaurants I actually have gone to. Also went down and looked at the damage to the CO Capitol. I bit more impactful.
The Second Amendment ACKNOWLEDGES our right to own and bear arms that are in common use that can be used for lawful purposes. The arms can be restricted ONLY if subject to historical analogue from the founding era or is dangerous (unsafe) AND unusual.

    It's that simple.

Last time I saw something this overhyped was Geraldo Rivera opening Al Capone's secret vault to find... Nothing. Before that? Evel Knievel's Famous Snake River Canyon Jump.

This is truly like Bizarro World. The media and political spin---all in sync and in cahoots---is just utterly amazing, yet enraging at the same time. The nerve of those hypocritical bastards is appalling.

I swear to God, I will do my personal best to ensure that the next four years (at a minimum) are as tumultuous, vitriolic, and harsh as the last four. I have no desire to "bury the hatchet", unless of course it's in.......well, you get the idea.

Makes you want to strap them in a chair, tape their eyelids open and force them to watch sicario porn on Best Gore or Liveleak.
