I think that in a couple years, we may look back at the storming of the capitol as something like the Boston Massacre. The people that did it were criminals, and the milquetoast John Adams types among us, including me, will understand it as a dishonorable event...but I’m also not going to go out of my way to say anything at all about it negative. It happened.

I think of it as a Boston Tea Party event. Sure, it was illegal. But was it wrong?

Largely, I think Congress was jealous that they weren’t the only criminals allowed in the Capitol.

so seems like quite a few conservative reporters are now on a do not fly list ?

also what was said above about a setup seems like it more and more and yeah idiots went along with the antifa plants which is common that folks go along with agitators that is why they are there !

IMHO the dems in power for sure %100 through soros org got this going to use as a tool

when hearing the folks on this interview they were told to go into the rooms by the police !

No, I don't really believe anything meaningful was going to get done. I think no matter what the election would be certified.

BUT I think the only chance the capitol protestors had was BIG EVENT OUTDOORS where "maybe" some sympathetic Republicans might conduct a "by the numbers" investigation OR if they just had to go inside...then a 60s style SIT IN would have created a media event without letting them be presented as marauding attackers or an actual coup attempt.

Instead they played right into a lot of hands that were ready and waiting for them, they really didn't even need to bait the hook very much.

More importantly, they didn't come prepared to do anything that would effect change, they certainly didn't rescue the nation from anything. They got at least one person killed and they provided an example of "dangerous Trump supporters" who will storm the capitol and try and steal the election. That is the narrative that the average "I get my news from FB and Twitter" person accepts as 100% truth.

Almost everything about the event was counter productive and thank god they didn't bring guns because Congress would be demanding emergency powers to ban them all right now because of the "shootout at the Capitol."

And just so we are clear, I personally think it was misguided people who thought they were doing something good who didn't consider the ramifications of walking into what turned out to be a lions den. That is not counting the retards who took selfies and stole swag because it was a "free for all in the capitol day."

Ya know what. Let's run that scenario.

We are going to round them up and march them "where" and then do "what"? They didn't come with a plan or the means to achieve any of it.

And a few moments satisfaction of seeing congresscritters sweat the possible outcome will be dramatically offset by the actions of congress in the next four years, especially those they achieve because of the events of that day.

Remember how the Democrats shot themselves in the foot in 1968 by having a riot at the DNC? Well we just surpassed them.

But they didn't get touched. Alisha got touched. If you are going to try BIG SHIT like round up Congress...you probably need different people...a better place to plan than on twitter...and you better be prepared to take on a lot more than MPD and CPD.

You need a "what if they roll armor" contingency.

You also need to figure out a way to distinguish what YOU are doing and how it is different from if antifa or BLM tried to occupy the capitol and take Congress hostage. But quite honestly, I'd love it if antifa or BLM tried something that incredibly stupid because the results are predictable and Congress would finally be forced to accept them as a group of terrorists.

IF another group shows, hope they have a plan and the means. But I don't think we achieved anything like a popular wave of support. I don't think anyone here calling them patriots is going to get on a bus and go to DC with a rifle for "Storm the Capitol 2.0"
