They could assign 100k and it wouldn't matter. The military and law enforcement are too divided themselves to be effective. Like the police and NG in DC when they stormed the capitol, they will simply watch from the sidelines.

It's the same thing that happened in Yugoslavia. Because the military and police are as diverse as the populace in a multicultural society, they can't maintain order because they're a house divided.

The truth is that melting pots don't melt. They simply appear to be homogenous if you keep them stirred up, and will eventually settle into their own strata, which is what is happening right now. The American dream kept things energized and gave people a common bond, but now that that's falling apart, people are retreating to their cultural and religious identities. The melting pot only works if everyone identifies as American first, and anything else second. Nowadays, everyone identifies as something else first, that just so happens to live in America.
