Space Command HQ to be in Alabama. Paging Mr. Foxworthy!

I am a fan of LA, the coastal area. Everywhere else I have visited and was OK to leave. Pretty area, sure, just not where I wanted to live. I do dig Huntsville. Aside from Lower Alabama, it's probably the only other part of Alabama I'd care to visit.

When you say "Lower Alabama" my mind immediately goes to the Panhandle of Florida.

In January 2021, it was announced that Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama was the preferred final location for U.S. Space Command. The other locations in contention were Kirtland Air Force Base, Offutt Air Force Base, Joint Base San Antonio, its interim location at Peterson Air Force Base, and Patrick Space Force Base.

I'm the PAO of PSFB and there are no elements of U.S. Space COmmand here. It's all at Peterson for now. Not sure where they got that, but we do launch a lot of rockets here.

I spent quality time in Pensacola when I was at Navy officer school and flight crew school, and in Mobile, Alabama with 3rd Force Recon (MARFORES). Plus, I got family all over the gulf Coast of Mississippi. I sure have spent my time on I-10.

And they don't give a flying **** if you think it's achievable. SpaceX, Sierra Nevada, Blue Origin, XCOR, Bigelow, Rocket Lab etc have done more to drag us, kicking and screaming into having space superiority & allow the US to dictate the future of the moon and mars before anyone else.
