I don't understand that either, but a victim who goes on to be a perpetrator is a pretty common thing. We were talking about that one time and someone said "It's almost as if they now had some sort of evil in them that wasn't there before."
    Spooky Stuff.

I've been debating whether to watch it or not. Maybe I'll give it a try.

I'm not sure what makes people go nuts, but people go nuts, just like dogs become rabid, the cure for a rabid dog is?
The difference is he was exposed to the chemicals while in the womb for what was probably the entirety of the pregnancy and that most likely had an effect on his brain development. Add in concussions at an early age, not as an adult, and combine those things with all the environmental factors that have already been discussed and you have a recipe for potential disaster. Like SteyrAUG said, my sympathy for him stops as soon as he assaults the first victim, then it's on him.

Dogs don't just "become rabid" either, so that's a bad comparison.

I'm a couple of episodes in and it's really well done. Pretty crazy stuff going on in LA back in the day. Wonder what exactly attracted people such as the Hill side strangler(s), Night Stalker, and Manson.

I think it's more like deliberately spreading STDs. Some people have a "if I have to have it, everyone has to have it" mindset. Not sure I thinks it's because they spread evil, I just think they lack decency and as soon as something bad happens to them, it's license to do it to others.
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

Drugs, ready made victims, culture that embraces anything counter culture. Don't forget zodiac.

    Dude, I don't know.
I honestly believe some people are just not right before they even get to the he/she biological coin toss. Something in the mix didn't take or something.
We had a kid in my neighborhood, he was six years younger than me then so he was seven or so. His Mother was afraid of him and afraid to leave him alone with his little Sister. Drowned a litter of puppies, started fires, violent out bursts including pulling a knife etc.
A couple of Soldiers I suspected of murder, but neither case could be proven.
Some folks among us, aint just like us.

Netflix is a leftist organization. Barack Obama and Mitchel Obama own huge interests in that company and set their agenda. DUMP LEFTIST MEDIA.

Don't misunderstand, there are those too. Born sociopaths when can't even relate to things like empathy much less feel it. People capable of literally ANYTHING. They talk about survival of the fittest...well guess what made you survive really well 10,000 years ago? And we still have that trait floating around in our DNA somewhere no matter how much civilization we've attempted to practice in the last few thousand years.

We are the dominant apex predator on the planet and it's hard to be that and be FAIR...and JUST...and make sure to look out for the little guy. All of our nobler ideals run contrary to what is our default program that is why such things need to be taught and practiced and institutionalized and only the benefits of our "mutual agreement" to participate in civilization keeps of from going Lord of the Flies every other month.

But you can still see it in lots of folks. Politicians are usually nothing more than predators by other means. Businessmen, bankers, lawyers and all other true "power brokers" don't get there by playing by the rules or being nice, in fact usually they donate money to charity causes more as a means of camouflaging their true nature than any kind of genuine philanthropy.

It's also no accident many of them end up in the same social circles as people such as Epstein.

Watched it last night. Wasn’t bad. I grew up outside LA and was in elementary/middle school when this was going on. I can tell you it was the talk of the summer and all us kids were worried the Night Stalker was gonna be breaking into our rooms through the window.

There was a also a legit relief and euphoria when he was captured. Frustrating to hear about the instances where they maybe could’ve caught him sooner.

Evil is out there and Richard Ramirez did not discriminate. One can argue all day long whether it’s mental illness or evil but regardless those were some pretty heinous crimes.
