Glock 19 Gen 5.....pinnacle in that configuration so far?

Would you say the Gen 5 is the best 19 model thus far? I got one for a pretty good blue-label deal with my DD214 and driver's license. Was actually in stock! Has the front serrations, which I could live without, but quite happy with the deal overall.

I’d say so. Get a MOS plate version.

Worst case scenario you never use the optic.

Best Glock ever. First 19 where I truly believe they perfected the design

I didn't think the Gen 5 19 MOS was a big deal until I shot one. Now I own two.

My only complaint is the chamber dimension. Handloads that chambered in my gen 4 get stuck in the Gen 5. I've had to tweak things a bit. I'd be more comfortable if the chamber were not as tight.

Like the grip a little better than my Gen 4, and might get a Gen 5 MOS this year with my blue label discount through GSSF

Glock did something right with the Gen 5s. I handled a G45 a few weeks ago, it fit my hand perfectly, I had to have one. Going to shoot it a bit, then send the slide out to instal the RMR.

Can you elaborate on this? I loaded 30 rounds of 124gr Missouri Bullet Company Hi-Tek coated RN over 4gr of Bullseye seated 1.075" in mixed brass, and all shot flawlessly. I was actually expecting to have problems....

Once the Gen 5s with the front serrations came out, I sold off all of my Gen 4 guns and replaced them. I think the Gen 5 G19 and G17 are the best they have put together. If you're looking at getting a Gen 5, buy the MOS. Even if you never use the optic (buy a CHPWS or FCD plate BTW) you won't be wrong.

I would’ve done the same if my only Gen 4 hadn’t been heavily modified to have similar features as the Gen 5. I didn’t really like the stock Gen 4s enough to buy multiples but I’m happy to do it now. I don’t thing they’re perfect but I do think that the current Gen 5s are the best all around factory handgun being made.

I still have to swap a few parts, but it wasn't the surgery I was contemplating doing to the Gen 4s.

The gen 5 has solved every complaint I’ve had about Glocks.
