There was a bit of humor going on. You missed it. Better luck next time.

They make it illegal, they put the penalties really high, and then they go after high profile people, just wait for people to screw up or have an ex girlfriend turn them in. Those examples will make everybody but the true believers compromise their stuff. That’s the plan.
The Second Amendment ACKNOWLEDGES our right to own and bear arms that are in common use that can be used for lawful purposes. The arms can be restricted ONLY if subject to historical analogue from the founding era or is dangerous (unsafe) AND unusual.

    It's that simple.

Didn't read MarkM's original post and who he quoted in regards to changing a username, apparently not NFA related. Oh well. Was what I posted wrong though?

It was a post I made about changing my username here to Chuy Sopapillas, giving myself the new persona of an oppressed Mexican minority. If a bust of Cesar Chavez is now in the oval office, a gun-owning lettuce picker could give me some cover online.

Some of the biggest parts of Biden's gun control agenda won't require much active enforcement. For example: "Ban the manufacture and sale of assault weapons and high-capacity magazines" and "End the online sale of firearms and ammunitions."

Firearms manufactures and sellers aren't going to defy the law. Just like Slide Fire ceasing manufacturing of bump stocks, and sellers removing the product from their shelves and websites. With the stroke of pen... over. I have doubts that such gun-grabbing ambitions will become law, but if they do it won't require much active enforcement.

As far as banning guns already owned... folks will follow the law or hide their guns under the bed never to see daylight again other than maybe a secluded range on private property. There won't be door-to-door confiscation but that isn't much of a consolation prize.

    From SOLGW facebook page

So...if SOLGW legally transfers a firearm to a distributor, and that distributor legally transfers that firearm to a dealer, and that dealer legally transfers that firearm to an individual, and somebody steals that firearm from the individual and uses it in a crime...SOLGW can be sued.
Itll be impossible to get liability insurance as a manufacturer...and that will pretty much be the end of the industry as we know it.
The law that currently protects us from being sued for misuse of our product is called the Lawful Commerce in Arms act, which Joe seeks to repeal.
Imagine being able to sue Ford if someone drove their F150 into a crowd. Apply that to any product in any industry.
Remember, the 2A guarantees the right of individuals to bear arms. They cant really touch that. But the 2A does not guarantee the right of SOLGW to manufacture arms, or conduct interstate commerce, or be protected from frivolous lawsuits.

As someone who has done that, it took a week just to get the paperwork and interview and to get the ball rolling outside our unit.

Doesn't even have to be gov, look at the new privatized Operation Chokepoint that Trump's Comptroller of Currency tried to roll out a rule putting an end to at the eleventh hour.

Oh great, another list. I've lost track of how many that makes now. Are there prizes? Because if my mid 50s, astigmatic, diabetic a$$ is a threat to the Republic due to hardware I've legally and responsibly owned for 30 plus years, we truly do live in Bizarro World.

Kindof stupid to come after folks like me though, since I pay somewhere around $50k per year in various taxes, you'd think they'd want to keep me fat and happy.
