    Colt 6940

    Recommended. Its a Colt, it will run, I don't own one, but I would pick one up if I could find one.

    Welcome to M4C. The Colt 6920 is considered the "standard" civilian carbine. The 6940 is the same weapon with a folding front sight vs fixed FSB for the 6920. So yeah, it is good to go.

    The 6940 is not the same as a 6920.

    6940 is a monolithic, free floated upper. The 6920 is not.

    Get the rifle, get 2 if you can. I kick myself in the ass knowing I traded mine away. That was an absolutely scary accurate rifle.

    If the price isn’t stupid, get it. Like now. The bulky quadrail foreend is personally a turnoff for me but that’s just a personal preference.

    Board policy mandates I state that I shoot for BCM. I have also done work for 200 or so manufacturers within the firearm community. I am prior service, a full time LEO, firearm instructor, armorer, TL, martial arts instructor, and all around good guy.
