    One of us is. Mine are self sealing, as Iearned the first time I removed a gas tube.

    You need a proper amount of snake oil if you want it to run properly. If you need less gas due to running a can, then buy a tube from Clint, his shit is legit. Otherwise build it according to spec and buy spec parts from a reputable company. BCN, Colt, DD.....not fktardAR15.com

    Am I the only one concerned about an unprotected “high profile" gas block being secured by a set screw?

    Unless this is a range toy it should be sent to a shop that can pin on a front sight tower.
