If you carry a P365, what did it replace?

You found the 365 too small in grip circumference or trigger reach? Or grip length?



So, of the 43, 48, and 365, you found the 48 grip best in the metric of room for your trigger finger?

Dont get me wrong, the 365 is damn fine gun and i would feel fine carrying if i didn't have other options. But for the 365, the bottom rear corner of the grip pushes into the palm of my hand and just doesn't feel as secure in my hands and is somewhat uncomfortable to shoot compared to the more full length grip on the 43x.

I replaced a Glock 43 and a Shield 9mm with my P365. I occasionally carry the Glock, but usually keep the Sig and a couple of extra mags as the main.

My 365 replaced a Glock 43 and a Kahr PM9. Never warmed up to the Glock. Too big for pocket carry (for me) and the capacity didn't warrant a viable belt carry gun. The PM9 did duty as my backup gun at work for years and worked just fine. When the 365 came along I resisted for a long time. Finally shot one about 18+ months after introduction and Sig letting the consumer complete T&E on the gun and I was sold. The 365 displays outstanding accuracy while maintaining a size that I can pocket carry and a decent capacity. The ability to have 15 round magazines is a not insignificant bonus.

OP here.

I thought I should give the full context. As stated, my P365 replaced the 9mm Shield.

But it is not my exclusive EDC.


Whenever I can, I carry the full sized M&P9. Suit coat, winter jacket, whenever i can get away with it.

P365 whenever I can't carry the big gun. Mostly in summer.

The tertiary gun is the LCP .380. When engaging in athletics only; this is when even the P365 is too big and heavy. Any gun is better than no gun.

I taught a RDS Pistol course today, and used my 365 w/507k as my demo gun instead of my fullsize 320. I rang steel at 50 yds, and other than magazine capacity, was able to demo any drill for my guys before they shot it. Granted, I'm not as fast with it, but accuracy is no issue out of this little gun.

I edc a P365 with the XL grip module. It replaced a Glock 43 that I had carried for several years. I use a Kusiak IWB holster and carry at 4 o'clock.

I have the P365MS and it has displaced my G43. The 43 will remain in my lineup but 12+1 is hard to beat. My main carry is a Gen5 G19 for the time being.
