    I run a couple of those Troy Ind VFGs in the stubbiest config with no sort of thread locker. Never had one come loose.

    This is a BCM Gunfighter and it didn't come with any locktite.

    Vibratite VC3 is a better choice

    The only downside is when you apply it to the fastener you need to let it cure overnight before assembling.

    Blue Loctite is cheap insurance and still allows removal with common hand tools.

    If I don't want to donate it to Mother Nature, it gets loctited, tied down, or stored in a pouch with active retention and tied down.

    I keep blister packs of that stuff in my work bench.

    It is some very awesome stuff I first learned about it at the shooting range where I RO.

    The ELR shooters many of them who also compete in the King of 2 mile competitions were talking about how they couldn’t keep scope rings and bases tight with blue Loctite so they went to Vibratite VC3.

    VC3 is great.
