Let's Go Brandon!
Try to find a good used HK45. They are bombproof and well-sorted.
Let those who are fond of blaming and finding fault, while they sit safely at home, ask, ‘Why did you not do thus and so?’I wish they were on this voyage; I well believe that another voyage of a different kind awaits them.”

How has no one mentioned a H&K Mk23? That’s my vote and is a bucket list gun that I will obtain one day. With a KAC can and LAM!
If I ever dump the two 1911's I have, they would be replaced by a HK 45 of some type
GET IN YOUR BUBBLE!
Been watching this thread and came to a conclusion that nothing puts "cool" and ".45" together like the 1911s. They even make it cool in a variety of ways. Everything else falls into "good guns" to "not very good guns" but nothing is really that cool.
I've put rounds through a P220, HK45, and Glock 21.
All three ran really well. The P220 had a beautiful x-factor in it, but it's also old, low capacity, and heavy.
The Glock 21 was boringly on point, accurate, ate everything, and was a thicc boi in the hands.
The HK45 was the best of the three in terms of feel, but the trigger was comparatively underwhelming. The HK match trigger kits make all the difference, though. I've shot an USP Expert and it was, hands down, one of the best DA/SA triggers I've used, up there with a well tuned Sig SRT (which I consider the best of the best). If you have the patience / money, I'd seriously look into getting an HK45 or 45C and dropping a match trigger in.
