    450 bushmaster

My local gunshop has a Ruger AR chambered in 450 bushmaster for under a grand. I have plenty of experience with 556 but never used a big bore AR before. Wondering if this is a good deal and any major issues with this caliber? Looking for any suggestions or advice

The price is nothing to dance in the streets over but they have one in stock and that is something worth consideration. The things that plague those of us that like to build our AR's are the bolt and the magazine, some are definitely better than others. Feeding tends to be the biggest hurdle due mostly to a substandard bolt and mag. I would suspect that Ruger would have the bugs worked out tho. If you have the thumper bug, it would be a nice cure.
