    HK P8

LGS here (Switzerland) has been struggling due to COVID, especially the shooting range which is a big part of the business.

He enhanced his website and made some promotions to offload some of his gun stock and bring in some needed cash.

So as a gesture of support I bought a gun I did not really need, a NOS HK P8.

The P8 is a modified version of the USP deployed by the German Bundeswehr. It differs by a specific safety and decocking as well as a preferred land and grooves rifling instead of the polygonal profile.

Congratulations on the new pistol! How's the trigger on it?

Thank you. It’s a military pistol, so not a match trigger, but it breaks cleanly at 4.4 lbs

Awesome pics of a rare variant of the USP line. I love the side plate stamped / embossed “HK Sidearms”.

Nice pistol, never seen one before. How far was the target?

That's a cool piece! I wish HKUSA left the targets with the the guns the import here. I saw somewhere they stopped in the 80s because folks started complaining that they weren't all one holers and thought there were problems with their guns. Which sounds like the dumb crap that leads to these decisions.
Let those who are fond of blaming and finding fault, while they sit safely at home, ask, ‘Why did you not do thus and so?’I wish they were on this voyage; I well believe that another voyage of a different kind awaits them.”

Oliar15, nice pistol. USPs are built like tanks and the trigger gets much better with use. Congrats!
