    Sig red dot

A fellow officer bought a Sig red dot online. It looks just like a T-1 in the pic; however I haven't seen it in person. 2 questions. . . .
Anyone have any experience with these optics?
Anyone know if American defense or Larue T-1 mount will work with the Sig

If the 400 dollar price I'm hearing quoted for it is accurate, I would strongly advise looking at one of the "lower end" Aimpoints instead. The Aimpoint optics in all their incarnations are excellent products. You don't necessarily need to buy the models with all the bells and whistles.

Even the CompC is a great optic that will exceed the needs of most users.

What's with Sig taking proven products and "redesigning" them to be worse off?
I hope this trend doesn't spread past the 556 Design Team.

SIG didn't design the RDS just like they didn't design the weapon lights they sell. Manufacturers from Israel and Asia negotiate with SIG to be the distributor in the U.S. (or worldwide), and SIG has its name slapped on the side.

Heck, they had to hire an outside engineering firm just to un-frak the GSR (to the extent the GSR has been un-frakked).

was the Revolution the result or do you still mean true GSRs?

It was the GSR from day one. If they've started using "revolution" to differentiate certain models now, I'm not privy.

Still not as bad as releasing that dangerous light/vertical grip...
