Are the Shellback Tactical prevail series hard armor plates gtg?

Also how about the Shellback stealth low vis PC? Is shellback a good company?

    Thanks

I purchased a set of level IV ceramics from them with a plate carrier. I haven't personally tested the plates, but the carrier is pretty nice.

Shellback is outstanding quality, carriers and pouches are very well-made.

The plates they sell are rebranded RMA, also very high quality.

    All good stuff.

Cool thanks for the info. I have Hesco plates, but was looking at the Shellback level III with the slick carrier for wife.

Good to know! I purchased mine 'blind' early last year - they had the best lead times at the time.

I bought a carrier and plates from them, granted I haven’t been shot so I can’t speak on how the plates hold up. But I like the carrier. The only thing I don’t like is how the front flap Velcro’s into the carrier. It Velcro’s into the back, so you can’t attach a dangle pouch from the front.

If what I’m saying don’t make sense, I’m sick and my head is all clogged up.

That’s how it attaches over the cummerbund and held in place.

You could cut that flap off, and sew or melt the end. Or attach to the MOLLE up front.

My mag pouches take up the front molle. I didn’t think about cutting the flap though.

I mean using the bottom-most row, under the mag pouches, for some kind of attachment method.
