With the VP9 being such a success, is HK still producing the P30?

I believe they are.
Yes..HK Specialist listed a LEM version with the 17 round mags for about 700 as one in stock as of yesterday
Yup...still making them. An OR factory slide would be nice, but that probably won't happen.
They're still making the USP as well.

Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.
老僧三十年前未參禪時、見山是山、見水是水、及至後夾親見知識、有箇入處、見山不是山、見水不是水、而今得箇體歇處、依然見山秪是山、見水秪是水。

In fact, I have seen a rash of HK pistols hitting the Phx market in recent weeks. P30’s and P30L, even more rare. Also with light LEM triggers.
HK 45, 9 mm Expert models. Yes, HK is alive and well. Tomorrow they could all disappear, but today they are around for now.
I sold my P30L, STUPID. But kept my P30 Light LEM. and others. HK is good kit.
Good luck.

The P30 is alive and a good gun. Now reasonably priced (not necessarily Chicom virus period), accurate, reliable, and very rugged. Polish and use a slightly reduced spring and you have a superb pistol. Besides it’s not a soulless SF pistol. It has character,
I REALLY like my P30S 9mm---I can't buy the VP9 because it's not on California stupid "Safety" list---oh well, can't buy them all!
