Kentucky Ballistics Serbu 50 blow up

There is a Youtube channel called Kentucky Ballistics. It's just a fun type gun channel where the host shoots stuff with various guns. Very light hearted type of content.

Recently he was shooting a fire hydrant with his Serbu 50 call using supposed milsurp SLAP rounds. After several shots the gun blew up and nearly killed him with parts of the gun crushing his face and a big piece piercing his neck and lung. Very interesting video.

No dude is going to get shot in the chest at 300 yards and look down and say "What is that, a 3 MOA group?"

I would never put a round through my M99 without knowing the specs on it. The 750 AMAX rounds tell you the maximum twist rate you can use them on. SLAP round with no preserved identity or condition, nope not in my gun. I did buy a shirt to help him out though…..

Are any commercial .50s designed to shoot a sabot round?

When you hear the educated assumptions on what happened it really makes the Arisaka rifles' destructive testing results even more impressive.

Ian graciously went out of his way to not blame the shooter, but I won't even shoot gunshow reloads let alone oddball .50 of unknown specifications. I don't want to blame the shooter, but in his after action video he stated "I didn't do anything wrong" more than a few times and I disagree.
