    Hämmerli 212

LGS had this cute little Hämmerli 212. It is called Jägerschaftspistole, and is used for a special discipline of the DJV, the German hunter's organisation. It is a timed event, 3 seconds at 25 m, drawing and shooting at the old silhouette duel target (thanks to Andyd for that info).

It is derived from the International / 208 / 215 series but simplified. It has low profile sights, adjustable for windage only.

As with many Swiss firearms it oozes quality and workmanship

    My 215 for comparison

I took it straight to the range, and as expected it worked flawlessly

Looks a lot like the high standard . That's a big add on weight. Gotta control that muzzle flip of the monster .22

These are for the old fashioned, single handed, weak hand on hip elbow out, draw-aim-shoot style of competition right?
Go Ukraine! Piss on the Russian dead.

Very nice pistols. Nothing like a precision .22.

I had a couple Pardini Fiocchi “Olympic” type .22s that shot 1/2” @ 50 meters with 10X (benched).
I suppose they would be similar, if not a step down in quality to your Hämmerli.
Used them in the Precision Event at the long defunct “Masters” tournament decades back where we shot racks of Bi-Athalon targets at 25 and 50 meters.
A true "Gun Guy" (or gal) should have familiarity and a modicum of proficiency with most all firearms platforms.

Very nice. I’ve always wanted a Hammerli .22 target pistol.
