    Surefire-Behind The Scenes Suppressor Manufacturing

Interesting look at the technology, automation, and processes involved in manufacturing Surefire Suppressors.
I'm kind of surprised they're still operating in California.

The cost associated with relocating a business like that would be enormous.

It's manufacturing. California was once a global high-tech manufacturing hub (especially for precision and aerospace). If you ignore that it's a weapon part the stuff they make is just machines and machine parts.

RCBS is still in California. Sierra bullets left a long time ago, as did Bar-Sto barrels. Those outfits are tiny compared to Lockheed, McDonnel-Douglas, and Hughes helicopters.

Illinois' political insanity is driving many of gun valley's companies out (LMT and Les Baer across the river to Iowa) -- just as the northeast did to many others.

I guess in the grand scheme of things that all makes sense and relocating a business like this would cost tons. That all said, still interesting to me with the political climate out there.

The "political climate out there" really has no bearing on a company like SF.

Wonder what the gov to civilian sales ratio is?
Could SF survive on gov only sales? They probably could...

Just said it was interesting to me knowing how ‘anti” CA is. I don’t claim to fully understand politics and business, LOL.

California has tons of businesses that manufacture items that are selectively illegal in CA. The off-road and automotive/side by side/4 wheeler/motorcycle aftermarket parts and tuning business thrives there.

Interesting video thanks for posting it.
