So, "8 hours" and "$65,000" are just random numbers pulled out of their arses. Got it, just like the other arbitrary regulations pulled out of their arses.

That’s what is so dumb. Where are they coming up with these monetary values and time tables?

Do they like get some dude at the technology branch and time him or something?

What if someone is just a mechanical GOD and can do it in a cave with a pile of scraps? Why is $65,000 the magic tooling number?

    3D printers.

A spool of filament can be anything. A hat, a broach, a pterodactyl.
The Second Amendment ACKNOWLEDGES our right to own and bear arms that are in common use that can be used for lawful purposes. The arms can be restricted ONLY if subject to historical analogue from the founding era or is dangerous (unsafe) AND unusual.

    It's that simple.

My understanding is this has to do with sales and not personal use.

Trump's actions regarding bump stocks made clear that GCA definitions and long held ATF interpretations mean nothing. The whim of the current administration is what matters. Welcome to the whim, boys.

The 6th Circuit did recently rule that Trump's EO on bump stocks was illegal and that it was not appropriate for the ATF to enforce it as both can not make law.

Another senseless and unenforceable turd from the ATF Document.

The new proposal would require the individual who builds a firearm to engrave a serial number within 7 days of completion

Anyone remember maybe a couple years back the ATF got a bug up their ass about some .50 BMG upper? They were trying to claim the barreled upper on its own constituted a “firearm” and there was speculation it was going to be used to potentially reclassify AR uppers in general as “firearms”. I’m hoping that doesn’t find its way into the mix here as well.
