    I don’t work there. I don’t agree with a lot of things.
If I could fix it all, I would.
I understand you don’t like what happened but you shouldn’t paint with such a broad brush.

This is the most pathetic thing Ive seen lately. How can you justify defending a violent mob that hates you, throws molotov cocktails at you.
I didnt think you stoop to something lower than antifa but I just found it.
So "some" are not your friends, but in fairness they can't rely upon all of us either. And again this shit is very zip code dependent. But for starters probably NOBODY in Portland is your friend.
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

    Chuck, we miss ya man.

Would love to hear the whole story. Guy that got arrested is probably known to the police. Probably no innocents in this whole thing.

But I cant tell who is who, thats the problem. The only logical way to protect yourself is "guilty till proven otherwise."

From what I understand there was a counter "Patriots Strike Back" rally to the whole May Day thing which is apparently its some kind of annual communist circle jerk.

Anyway the MO of these antifa thugs is to follow counter protesters to their cars after rallies because they're too scared to go after them in groups.

True. There was Stephen Willeford in New Braunfels, TX that was totally the opposite direction with responding police and others in the legal system.

The issue arises that there is a segment of society that is neutral to somewhat positive on others noticing and approving of that interaction, but get offended when noticing the police being hands off rioters then arresting citizens who defend themselves(McCloskeys and another home owner from last year come to mind along with Rittenhouse.)

This. However well-intentioned Patriot Boy was, he broke the 4S rule without sufficient backup. Not very "organized"

As much as we are all ready for the fight, unfortunately, now is not the time.

One more reason not to have a counter rally behind enemy lines. There are no friendlies in that jungle and you can't depend upon the local stasi.

It's like stopping the forcible rape of your children in NYC and then getting arrested for having a high capacity magazine and defensive ammo. You should sort of expect it.

Used to be this sort of blatant insanity confined itself to Berkeley but that is no longer the case.

So it is important to understand your time and place. There are times you can flag the radar without issue but there are times you need to keep close to the deck, even if you are technically in the right. We carry because we understand we can't depend upon others, but sometimes people can't apply that mindset to all things. This is why as much as I loved Popeye's chicken, I didn't just roll up in Opa Locka at 9pm like nothing bad could happen. There is no legal, moral or socially acceptable reason for not feeling safe to roll the drive in at 9pm but practical thinking always won out over "but that's not fair."

And Portland ain't the place. So until we actually enjoy the social equivalent of "air superiority" everyone needs to adopt a "behind the lines" mentality.

Btw, I understand YOU get this, my comments were for general consumption.
