It's like a DV "somebody is going to jail" scenario.

You could arrest the chick in the wheel chair, but what a pain in the ass and she's got that dumb dog..

You could arrest knife dude, but he probably hasn't showered in a month and bathes in patchouli.

Or you can grab up dude with the bat, run him down town and basically release him..

Kind of funny, but if you are the one guy in a neighborhood of drug addicts and there is some kind of altercation, arresting the one guy who really didn't do anything wrong is sometimes the path of least resistance and happens more often then you think.

A long, long time ago when I lived in downtown Ft. Lauderdale I realized I was that guy and would eventually need to move. When you defend your property with firearms more than a dozen times a year the more lazy cops start to see you as the problem. In today's St. George environment I'd be toast.

This is why as much as I loved Popeye's chicken, I didn't just roll up in Opa Locka at 9pm like nothing bad could happen. There is no legal, moral or socially acceptable reason for not feeling safe to roll the drive in at 9pm but practical thinking always won out over "but that's not fair."
I can understand that, but when the party comes to your home the problem isn't one that can be avoided. At least in the McCloskey incident that doesn't even seem to be a high crime zone like your area in Florida was.

Reminds me of kindergartners taunting each other about being in my space and touching my stuff. You go to a rally like, that you bring a bat, you swing for the fences. Be a gangster, or don’t be a gangster.

This ticky -tacky BS is tedious.

Or just stay home. What an idea. Even Portland mayor is tired of these leftist anarchist nihilist assholes.
The Second Amendment ACKNOWLEDGES our right to own and bear arms that are in common use that can be used for lawful purposes. The arms can be restricted ONLY if subject to historical analogue from the founding era or is dangerous (unsafe) AND unusual.

    It's that simple.

When they kick your private gate and invade private property (and as much as I strongly dislike the McCloskey's) then at that point all bets are off. That isn't rolling Opa Locka after dark, that isn't attending a retard rally, that is enemy at the gates and pirates boarding your ship, better be ready to repel all boarders.

That is the only way I got away with more than a dozen "at gunpoint" incidents in Ft. Lauderdale, it was on my property and I had a pretty good understanding of what is / isn't legal and what sort of shit local LE will permit / won't permit and even then there were a few times I could tell the officers that I was dealing with were strongly contemplating hooking me up and I had to very clearly steer the word game back onto the pavement.

It's like stopping the forcible rape of your children in NYC and then getting arrested for having a high capacity magazine and defensive ammo. You should sort of expect it.

Used to be this sort of blatant insanity confined itself to Berkeley but that is no longer the case.

Agreed, its a dumb idea. But how else do you describe a PD that actively protects a mob that wants to set their precincts on fire while they're still in it. This is beyond bending the knee, this is just plain pathetic.

I don’t know about them (the police ?) being my friend

But I sure don’t want him as my friend (Michael Isaacs / vinnicuz)

    Or him (Brandon Farley)

Adhering to nazi gesture and symbolism in 2021, with all we know about history, is pretty stupid imo.

That should apply to all the various communist/marxist/maoist flavors for exactly the same reason, but those disciples get a super free pass.
