    Dummy rounds?

I have a class coming up that requires them. Any particular brand to look for or steer clear of?

If it's TRICON, here's the "approved" one:

    http://www.stactionpro.com/action-tr...ounds-c-1.html

    more specifically:

    http://www.stactionpro.com/223-cal-5...ounds-p-6.html

Ordered them for my class and received them quickly.

I generally use A-Zoom snap caps as dummies whenever I can. They're substantially more expensive than the proving dummies No.6 referenced, though.

    rob_s,

I bought some A-Zooms recently at a local store that were 40% off. They are solid as can be. Brownells has some as well, though I am unsure if they are the same brand and they are also very good.

I bought some A-zooms too. But I found out they were a "NO-GO" for Jeff's classes for what ever reason. Hence, the other ones.
Word of advice. If you want to keep them, mark them. Otherwise they will disappear on the range.

A-Zooms are ingenious, at least, in my P7. Half the time I set up to practice stovepipe malfunction clearance, the stovepiped dummy finds it's way in and immediately creates a double-feed type of malfunction. It is my "ball and dummy malfunction clearance drill", 'cause I never know which one I am going to get.

For AR, I use Magpul. They work OK, although I find them a bit soft.

Be aware that ST Action Pro dummies are just dummies, NOT snap caps.

I'd love to see some high-visibility (orange, yellow, etc) Magpul dummies.

I use the ST Action Pro dummies, they are durable and easy to find on the range when you police call for them. I didn't know Magpul made dummy rounds, hmm.

I am a cheap bastige. I bought a set of them, and just used some canary yellow Testor's spray paint.
