I have an 18" Dez Arms barrel on mine. A bit overgassed (port is 0.125" midlength) and the finish scratches a bit easier than I expected, but accuracy is good and I'm happy overall. Going to try an adjustable gas block and see how it does with a bit less gas. Running an H3 buffer and a tubbs flat wire spring.

Did a lot of research before building mine. Consensus was use Duramags, an extended firing pin, and grind the feed ramps to prevent the bullet tips from hanging up.

I bought a cheap 16” carbine gas length barrel off gunbroker as everything was out of stock, and a Windham weaponry 7.62x39 bolt in a 5.56 carrier. I went with an adjustable gas block, H2 buffer, and Springco blue buffer spring to reliably strip rounds. Thing runs great

I have ran 6.1 buffers, and all the way down to a 3.0. Dinking around with an adjustable gas block is a waste of money.

I have a friend on another forum. Geco x39 is wimpy. It will piss you off with the jams.
