I would do unspeakable things for Phoebe Cates in her prime. Terrible, dark evil things.

They don’t make em like that anymore.

Even in "Bright Lights, Big City" where she played an unspeakable bitch, she was still amazingly hot. And I still hate Kevin Kline.

Most "rewinded" scene of any VHS tape.

Man they just don't make films like that anymore. Holds up even today in ways The Graduate could never imagine, by the 1980s it was just a super weird film about the 60s. And films like American Pie and Superbad, while containing much awesomeness, lack much of the depth and end up being little more than Animal House for that generation.

Every kid from Gen Xers forward doesn't understand what it means to be identified by your job, even in high school, because most of them never came close to having a job much less being dedicated to it to the point it becomes part of your identity. They can't relate to busting your ass to get "the car" and "the girl" and as a result will never arrive at the realization that the girl you think you want isn't what you actually want when you get to know girls.

I can think of too many thirty somethings that could learn a shit ton of life lessons from that movie because they haven't gotten to that level of maturity yet even though most of us figured it out by senior year.
