    Lookie here...Glock rifle patent filed

Even if this doesn't happen it looks like Glock is seriously toying with rifles now

The Second Amendment ACKNOWLEDGES our right to own and bear arms that are in common use that can be used for lawful purposes. The arms can be restricted ONLY if subject to historical analogue from the founding era or is dangerous (unsafe) AND unusual.

    It's that simple.

I didn’t follow the links, but that sounds similar to the FAMAS.

German link. Figure 4 , the second one with a,b,c,d; actually I thought the lever was to delay the bolt, but it is already too far. It looks like a lever to hit a case ejector.

According to English article, it's a gas system. I'm not sure what they mean by "mid-stroke" system; so, not based on the AR-18 or the AK I'm guessing. Maybe something close to the FAL, where the piston is not attached to the bolt carrier but still travels back a significantly longer distance compared to the tappet short stroke systems.

Makes me wonder with WW3 (4/5?) heating up, if GLOCK is looking at mass production for them sweet government contracts. I'm not as hip to the industry side of production as many here are, so of course I could be misplacing some conspiratorialism.

What kind of production do they have in the US and in Austria? Assuming a US patent would mean US production...

It'd have to be mostly US parts to get around 922R.
