    SIG P-320 AXG question

Below is the promo page for SIG's new P-320 AXG Classic. The frame material is listed as stainless steel that is "hardcoat anodized". Haven't heard of many guns that had an anodized steel frame - aluminum, yes. Or is this more common than I'm aware of?

I bet that they screwed up and said the frame is SS instead of AL.

It's supposed to be aluminum, same frame as the AXG scorpion, only black with walnut grips. Unless they changed the material since I last heard.

Sig Classics, or legacy guns, the 220/226/229/228 etc all use aluminum frames. Hence the use of aluminum to pay homage to that series of pistols.

AXG, I suspect it means aluminum extreme grip. I could be wrong.

I just looked and the other metal framed P320 also lists stainless steel as the frame material.

Anodized steel has a name. It's called rust.
